I would say that from personal experience there are certain qualities you want to see in your cheap courier. Unfortunately each experience is different and if you use a company you can’t always be guaranteed to be given the exact same service next time, as I learnt. However I would say that almost all of the time, the cheap courier companies that I have used have not let me down.
The cheap courier companies have been totally prompt and gotten my package or document there on time, every single time. Look for a name you recognise or have heard of. If you have heard of a company the chances are they have couriered for many big companies in the past and are professional and prompt. A professional courier and cheap courier can often by the same thing if you pick a company that has a relatively established name.
I have used a cheap courier before with a name that I have not heard of and it has been a successful journey with no hiccups whatsoever. But should you risk using an unheard of cheap courier, you also risk failing to deliver whatever important documents, information or parcel there is to deliver. A long time ago I was a courier for a cheap courier company, and although things have changed a lot with technology the same concept applies. Now instead of getting a signature on paper when you deliver the parcel, you get the person that receives the parcel to sign digitally on a hand held computer. Looks like the cheap courier organisations have come a long way since the late eighties.
Look for Professionalism when you hand over your parcel to the cheap courier. The boy or girl working for the cheap courier company should ask you whether there are any special requirements to the delivery of the package. This usually shows that you are using a good, prompt cheap courier. Also attempt to over see how the person working for the cheap courier place acts around you. His or her behaviour will be the behaviour that the person on the other end will see and come to contact with. All these things and many more make a great cheap courier service, be sure to be observant at all times, this is how you will find any unprofessional mannerisms of the person working for the cheap courier company. If you find a good company don’t be scared to use another one, the other cheap courier company you use may be even better.
